IA Technology has been selected by BAe Systems to make and supply a number of cables for the Royal Navy's new Type 42 Destroyer Radar Upgrade. The company has a long track record of supplying bespoke cables for marine use.Underneath the impressive war-fighting statistics and weapons systems lies the heart of the ship, where data and signals are passed. The benefits of using IA Technology's skills in making high quality data cables to fit exacting tolerances were clear.
The image shows an example loom comprising data cable with McMurdo connectors, made to fit perfectly between two bulkheads. This type of cable is built to IPC class 3 standards, and more importantly allowed us to demonstrate our ability to support legacy equipment.
